Roadworks on a road

Repair our roads!

Back Lib Dem councillors in their local campaign to fix North Somerset streets

Many of North Somerset's roads and pavements are in a terrible state. North Somerset Council does its best to maintain them, but a lack of funding means there is an estimated repairs backlog of £58 million.

Almost all the funding for road and pavement repairs comes from the government - and North Somerset is short-changed. There are 697 miles of road that needs repair each year and yet in real terms the government has cut funding.

Liberal Democrat councillors are fighting for more funding so that we can fix our roads. If you agree, please sign up below.

Repair our roads

We call on the UK government to increase highway and pavement maintenance funding to North Somerset to make sure that our streets can be brought back to a decent standard and we get rid of the potholes.
