Clare's Priorities For Weston Central Ward

By Patrick Keating

On Thursday 16 December there will be a special by-election to elect a new Weston-super-Mare Town Councillor for Weston Central Ward.

We wanted to introduce our friend and colleague, Clare Morris, who we have asked to stand in the by-election to join us as part of your local councillor team. Please read more about Clare below - and if you live in Weston Central Ward - please consider lending her your vote in the by-election.

"I want to work with the Town Council and North Somerset Council to support the regeneration of the town centre. We need more shops and businesses and even more local events to help create a vibrant and exciting town centre. Under the leadership of Mike Bell and Robert Payne, the two councils have done a lot to help including the improvements through the Heritage Action Zone, work to improve the Sovereign Centre and supporting a new bowling alley at Dolphin Square, but we can do more. With my experience running a town centre business, I believe I can make a real difference in this work."
